Bicycling

The City of Boca Raton is committed to promoting and encouraging bicycling as a safe, economical, environmentally friendly, and health-conscious mode of transportation.  With over 61 miles of bike lanes/paved shoulders and trails, the City has been recognized as one of the most ‘Bicycle Friendly Communities’ in the United States by the League of American Bicyclists.

Bicycles on Transit:

Most Tri-Rail trains can accommodate 2 bicycles in each compartment.  For more information on Tri-Rail’s Bikes on Trains program or to receive a bicycle permit application, click here.

All City operated shuttles are equipped with bicycle racks that can accommodate two bikes at a time.

Palm Tran buses are equipped with bicycle racks that can accommodate two bikes.  For more information visit www.palmtran.org or call 561-841-4200.

Bicycle Locker Registration: 

Through a partnership with South Florida Commuter Services and the SFRTA/Tri-Rail, the City of Boca Raton, and other agencies/properties commuters can now register for the use of bicycle lockers within the City of Boca Raton.
